Project Cost: $1,687,500
MEP Cost: $1,687,500
Completion: August 2010
Delivery Method: Construction Manager

This 36,600 SF Residence Hall includes student rooms, office spaces, study areas and student lounges.  With a current capacity of 158, the four story facility was originally built in 1950.  Facility amenities include high-speed computer access, laundry facilities, floor lounges with kitchens, recreation rooms, and fully furnished bedrooms

Over the course of three phases, each with an eighty day schedule, the building mechanical systems and associated electrical systems were renovated.  The new HVAC system included 99 fan coil unit zones with four-pipe heating and cooling systems.

The system also included a custom rooftop air handler with heat pipes to supply 100% preconditioned outdoor air to the building.  The hydronic systems included 96 tons of chilled water capacity connected to the UF Campus chilled water system and connection to the UF campus steam system for space heating through a new heating hot water loop and steam-to-water heat exchangers.

M&A also provided construction administration for each of the 80 day construction phase. This required continuous on site presence.
